Today we are doing an Expat Mindset Check.

⇢ Are we thriving with a growth mindset or are we stuck in a fixed mindset?

Listen in as I talk all about the differences and why it is important to your expat mental health to maintain a growth mindset. 

Here are the journal prompts, if you missed them:

Prompts to Identify and Challenge:

  1. Describe your current comfort zone and the aspects of your life that fall within it and then explore any hesitations or fears about stepping out of this comfort zone in your expat journey.
  2. How do you typically perceive challenges - as obstacles to be avoided or as opportunities for growth?
  3. Explore your views on failure. Is it a learning experience or does it evoke fear and avoidance?

Prompts to Create a Growth Mindset:

  1. Set 3 learning goals related to your expat experience (these could be language learning, cultural understanding, or personal development-related goals.) 
  2. Identify small, daily actions you can take to foster a growth mindset - ones that might allow you to intentionally seek out new experiences, embrace challenges, or approach setbacks as opportunities to learn.
  3. Explore the potential for personal and professional growth within the unknown.
